Key Verse:
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled . . . "—John 14:27
Observing:
Whenever we experience something difficult in our personal life, we are tempted to blame God. But we are the ones in the wrong, not God. Blaming God is evidence that we are refusing to let go of some disobedience somewhere in our lives. But as soon as we let go, everything becomes as clear as daylight to us. As long as we try to serve two masters, ourselves and God, there will be difficulties combined with doubt and confusion. Our attitude must be one of complete reliance on God. Once we get to that point, there is nothing easier than living the life of a saint. We encounter difficulties when we try to usurp the authority of the Holy Spirit for our own purposes.
Application:
Obedience. God’s mark of approval, whenever you obey Him, is peace. He sends an immeasurable, deep peace; not a natural peace, "as the world gives," but the peace of Jesus.
Whenever peace does not come, wait until it does, or seek to find out why it is not coming. If you are acting on your own impulse, or out of a sense of the heroic, to be seen by others, the peace of Jesus will not exhibit itself. This shows no unity with God or confidence in Him. The spirit of simplicity, clarity, and unity is born through the Holy Spirit, not through your decisions. God counters our self-willed decisions with an appeal for simplicity and unity. But any problem that comes between God and myself is the result of disobedience. Any problem that comes while I obey God (and there will be many), increases my overjoyed delight, because I know that my Father knows and cares, and I can watch and anticipate how He will unravel my problems.
Prayer:
Lord I'm gonna do better this time. Its gonna be you not me. Sorry, Lord I know I disappoint you. Forgive me. In Jesus Name Amen.
time with Him.

Who are you God?
Who are you God
Still I have these questions
Like How could you God
How could You be so good and strong
And make a world that can be so painful
And where were you God
I know you had to be right there
I know you never turn your head
You know that I’m confused
By all this mystery
You know I get afraid
But if you know my heart
As completely as I trust you do
Oh you know that I trust in you
Is it true
that fore every tear I cry
You cry a thousand more
Cuz you weep for those that weep
And are you, just holding yourself back
For reasons we just cant understand for now
But isn’t there a day of redemption coming
Redemption is coming
Quickly Lord, come quickly
Lord, come quickly
So who am I God
That you would raise me from the dust
To breathe your life and your love in me
You know that I believe
Still I have these questions
Like How could you God
How could You be so good and strong
And make a world that can be so painful
And where were you God
I know you had to be right there
I know you never turn your head
You know that I’m confused
By all this mystery
You know I get afraid

All we know is where we've been 121209
Today's Reading: Ephesians 4:17-24
Key verse:
"20 But that isn’t what you learned about Christ."
Observation:
Darkness can cover whatever light we have if we are not careful. We can be so completely consumed by it but not know. This is how God says it simply in Ephesians throw off your old sinful ways...because this is what we learned from Christ. Living in our old ways isn't what we learned from Christ. Its not what He has prepared for us when we choose to follow him. Its like freely leaving a mental institution and but keeping the safety restraints bound to our hands.
Why? Why do we make the mistake of going back to our old ways? Because, we are allowing ourselves to take control of circumstance that should be handled by God.
We can do all things through Christ who has strengthen us. This is what we learned. Its only through Christ we have wisdom. Its only through Christ we minister and save souls, its only through Christ we disciple others, its only through Christ that our weaknesses are changed, its only through Christ our relationships are restored, its only through Christ we are provided for, its only through Christ we are healed.
Everything and anything begins and starts in Him. Stop, Look and Listen. Its time to let go and let God. We wont survive on our own...coz all we know is where we've been... and that cant change anything.
Application:
Stop, look and Listen in tough circumstances. Stop responding in the physical aspects of things. Learn to stop, look and listen to the spiritual. Pray or open my bible. When emergency situations arise there is always time to go to God. Even in the middle of a heated argument. I -often do what I- can do... which ultimately leads to nothing. But, Christ has taught me better.
Prayer:
Lord I fail at this point in my life. I still try to do things my and in my understanding. Help me change. I dont want to live a life depended on a perishable person as myself. I cannot save myself. I know I need you to cover my sins. Forgive me Lord and take care control of my life. More of you and less of me. In Jesus Name Amen.
